Cupcakes with custard powder

I found a recipe on the internet where custard powder was added in the batter. Haven't tried that before. Anyway, the results: not bad. It is definitely an added flavour and taste great when it just came out of the oven. I did some decorating and these went to my daughter's kinder...

Cupcakes!

A fun weekend project with a couple of friends...results: delish!

Thanks K. Zareena for the knowledge!

Banana Choc Chip Muffins I and II

I made these for 2 different occassions...

Muffin I

Muffin II
(with extra toppings)
These are still great after a couple of days provided you keep in an airtight container in the fridge, then microwave for a few seconds before eating them.

Rainbow butter cake

I've always wanted to bake a colourful cake and finally, I did. This is a butter cake with 4 pastel colours: yellow, baby blue, baby pink and pastel green.

Mini Donuts

So, one weekend, I felt like having donuts, but not those big ones. I wanted something small and cute. I had the mini donut cutter so the making-the-shape-part was easy. After it was done, at first I thought of just tossing them into castor/icing sugar..instead, I turned it into a mini project with my daughter and decorated them. Since they were minis..just the right size for a single bite! (maybe, two..)

Dessert Cuppies for Wedding

These are cupcakes for a wedding, not as door gift but as desserts. Initially, I wanted to stick to one pattern, one colour which would be easier for massive production. But then, I thought, why not jazz it up by having several colours and let the guests wanting to try 'em all?

also mini ones for the main table...

The topping/icing part : royal icing, chocolate and white chocolate, crispy rice, 100s and 1000s, some pecans and choc chips...

Castle Cake

This is a beginner's luck. It was in 2008, when my daughter turned 4. She wanted a castle cake for her birthday. With no decorating tools at all, I simply used buttercream in several colours, placed them in a plastic bag and puched a tiny hole to do some major freehand decorating. Ta-dah!
The Cake? Cream cheese filled Chocolate Cake.

Spring Cuppies

Here's a few cuppies which I whipped up during my stay in Melbourne. Thanks to a set of newly-bought Wilton tools and hours of staring at flowers, petals and trying out what works, finally the end product, I aptly named them 'Spring Cuppies'.
